And now a letter from the editor

. I recently attended a blues festival in North Hampton Mass. It was a very nice little town, with a lot of friendly people. The festival was held out doors at the fair grounds. It started with a lot of ICQ chat with a fellow blues fan I met on the internet. His name is Jakob, and he lives in Denmark. We have been chatting for several years, and both love blues music. We talked about some day meeting, and I invited him to be my guest in Florida. We made plans to drive to MA for the blues festival, and did just that. I picked him up in Miami, and brought him home to meet my family. We already knew so much about each other, we felt like we were life long friends. We packed up my BMW, and off to MA we went. It was a pleasant 2300 miles. The nice stereo made it a lot better. We had plenty of blues CDs, a nice car, money, and plenty of time. What else could a guy ask for? The trip was very comfortable, with no problems, other than a speeding ticket Jakob got in Virginia. The lightening storm in Washington made for some nice pictures. We got into town on Friday, June 15. We scouted out a motel within walking distance from the festival site, before we checked out the town. The festival started the following day, Saturday, at noon and lasted till 9:00 P. M. The line up was simply fantastic. I was simply amazed with the preformers. In my opinion, the band that stole the show was Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers. This man can blow a harp like no one I've ever seen before. At one point he came off the stage right out into the crowd of dedicated blues fans like myself, all the while he never missed a note on that harmonica. It was great!! Now when his wife, Honey, started in on the that piano, she really gave a new meaning to the stinger. I can still see her long blond hair swinging back and forth as she made that piano talk. She played for a good half hour, and that wasn't enough. I purchased three of their CDs there, and have been listening to them ever since. The next day at noon there was a whole new line up. There were so many great preformers there like Carey Bell, John Mayall, Kenny Neal, Coco Montoya, and more. I couldn't think of a better way to spend two days. If you ever have an opportunity to see Rod Piazza, I strongly recommend you go. You will never regret it. I would also like to mention one fine gentelman I met named Art Simas. He is the editor of a fine blues magazine, (Boston's Blues). I would also like to thank him for all the fine things he does. Send him an email and ask him about the New England Blues Society. [email protected] I'm sure he would love to hear form you.
